That is our motto and our invitation to you. In cooperation with local guides and communities we offer individually tailored travel packages into the famous national parks, the lush Usambara Mountains, the Swahili coast and to the pearl white beaches of Zanzibar. We build bridges between you and the people of the regions – so you may experience the cultural diversity and the hospitality of Tanzania. A nice detail: with your booking you support social projects of the Lutheran Church in Mwanza, female guides, and local communities. In short: encounter face to face and heart to heart.
About Us
We are a sustainable organization that in its daily work respects the diversities of culture, environment, local people and travelers.
The hotels we offer are chosen carefully: We prefer middle-class hotels that prepare local food and are owned by Tanzanians.
We are not a profit orientated organization. The money we make goes either to the further development of the organization or to social projects of the Lutheran Church in Mwanza.
We are gender sensitive. In our office we - in contrary to most tourism companies in Tanzania - work with female management and female tour guides.
We do not employ people seasonally but the people working for Charming Safaris have a regular income. For example, the house keeping at our guest house is permanently employed with a regular and above average income.
We care for waste! At our organization and our guest house we implemented a sustainable waste management system that reduces e.g. plastic in the environment by using it for plastic bricks.
Our team with tour guides and driver guides is well experienced and equipped with deep knowledge about tour planning, tour guiding and a sensitivity to diversity.

As a Christian organization we belief that God put us on earth to take good care of the earth´s resources and the societies that live on the earth. We see it as our responsibility to highly value all the resources on earth and demonstrate social responsibility in our daily work in tourism. Because it is among the world’s largest industries, tourism has the potential to alleviate poverty, hunger, gender inequality and environmental degradation in the world’s most vulnerable regions.
OUR STRATEGY
Our strategy is to approach to tourism sustainably that neither the natural environment nor the socio-cultural collocation of the host communities will be impaired by the arrival of our guests. Sustainability implies that tourism resources and attractions should be utilized in such a way that their subsequent use by future generations is not compromised. On the contrary, the natural environment and the local communities should benefit from tourism, both economically and culturally. Key figures are the tour guides that transform the tourist visit into an experience with their intercultural skills.
OUR VISION
We want to change the perception of people on Tanzania towards a more differentiated and respectful way. Tanzania is not only wildlife. It is a peaceful country with great diversity of cultures, histories and different environments. We want people to tell different stories about their experiences with each other and not only one stereotyped story about the wildlife.

We are a team of women only. As a Charming Bungalow team, our first priority is to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable with us. In order to do so, we look after our beautiful garden, the bungalows and the food for our guests every day. We bake bread ourselves and prepare a fresh and delicious breakfast for you. If you have any questions or requests, we are happy to help you always.
