Sustainable Tourism
The tourism industry increases constantly. In 1995 there were about 500 million tourist arrivals all over the world. This number reached an amount of 1.3 billion in 2017.
There are more and more people who have the opportunity to travel to different places all over the world.
Traveling is an opportunity which should be used to explore new places, to broaden minds and to get to know other cultures and new people.

But we also have to travel in a responsible way because the increase of the tourism industry has a negative impact on social and ecological issues. Tourists cause lots of emissions by using plane and cars to reach their destination. These emissions intensify the climate change and by that also cause social problems.
Besides, tourists also have a very high consumption of water. This is a problem - especially in regions with water shortage - because the water is needed for the cultivation of crops, fruits and vegetables.
Another aspect is the high consumption of plastic waste by tourists. In countries that do not have a working waste system the waste oftenly ends up in the environment. That results in diseases due to the water pollution and also in species extinction in the water.

That is why we try to offer a concept of tourism which makes your journey rich of experiences and minimize the impact on the environment.

What can you do to create a sustainbale journey?

Try to avoid plastic waste by using your own shopping bag or your own drinking bottle which you refill with water from big bottles.
Reduce energy consumption. Turn off the lights, remove recharger …
Try to save water - for example by having shorter showers.
Look for information about your destination. Educate yourself about the culture, the people and dress codes and respect them.
Take the public transport. It is not only better for the environment, it is also cheaper and you will experience the real way of living of your destination.
Support the local economy by buying locally made souvenirs and eating in local restaurants.
Sleep in accommodations local people own.
Neutralize your emissions by offsetting your flight. (https://www.atmosfair.de/en/)
It is obvious that it is not possible to do all of these things always. But let’s try to make little steps towards the right direction.

A lot of little steps can change the world!
Let's create a sustainable world together!
